The Summer of Color Event

It's definitely not a secret that I love color. You show me a neon pink sweater and I'll show you my debit card. Mint and gold pants? Sold. Rainbow sprinkles on my frozen yogurt? Absolutely.

So you could imagine my surprise/excitement when I found out about the Color Bar by Kendra Scott. Please tell me you've heard about this too? If not, it goes a little something like this. You walk into any Kendra Scott store (or go online: link here) and head to the Color Bar. There will be a huge interactive screen where you can choose from a wide selection of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, etc. After you decide on a piece of jewelry, you choose the metal you want, then you literally get to hand pick whatever color stones you want and place them wherever you want in the jewelry you've selected. How cool is that? And the best part is, there are no rules!

As you can see from my photos above, I took a pair of gold Greta earrings and adorned them with rainbow stones. And I am so in love with how they turned out! In my opinion, they are the perfect accessory for neutral outfits because they add just the right amount of personality. Plus, they're beautifully made so they present a delicate aesthetic without seeming too gaudy.

This has to be the future of jewelry-making right? I mean, how could it not? All hail Kendra Scott. With the creation of the Color Bar and the selection of their jewelry always evolving, I can honestly say I will be making a lot (if not all) of my jewelry at Kendra Scott moving forward since it gives me this incredible ability to customize anything I want for specific outfits or occasions.

Now, because I am such a big fan of this, I wanted to find a way to share the experience with all of my readers, especially those locally. So, I'm so excited to announce that I have partnered with Kendra Scott OKC to host a great big color-loving, jewelry-making, champagne-sipping SUMMER OF COLOR event at the Kendra Scott OKC store in the Classen Curve this Thursday, July 23rd from 5-8pm!

Not only will we get to make awesome jewelry together, but you will also get 15% off your entire purchase just by mentioning my name! And that's not all, some of FAVORITE local businesses will be there to turn our little party into a BIG celebration!

Organic Squeeze will be providing refreshing juices for us to drink!
Barre 3 will be giving away 3 FREE classes!
Gingersnaps will be providing delicious (and adorable) sugar cookies!
Poppy Lane Design will fill the space beautiful floral arrangements and flower crowns!
Taylor O'Neal Photography will snap photos of our good time!

Oh, and one more thing, Kendra Scott is letting me give away TWO custom Color Bar pieces to two lucky winners (of my choosing) at the event!! Here's how you can win:

I hope to see you there!
Leave me a comment below if you plan to attend and I'll be on the lookout for you!

  1. I don't get off work until 5 and wouldn't be able to make it until a little before 6, will that hurt my chances of winning?!?!

    1. Not at all! If you haven't already, go ahead and submit your Color Bar piece! The 2 winners will be chosen just before the event starts so the winner came come at anytime during the event and make their piece! :) Hope to see you there!!
