Stripes

Happy Monday!
I spent a big part of my weekend "getting exercise" at the mall with my momma on a hunt for new clothes. My bump keeps growing and my clothes keep shrinking, so I knew it was time for a little wardrobe updating. One of my main goals during this shopping trip was to find as much as I could without buying maternity. And I have to say, I did pretty darn good! I can't wait to share what all I found on the blog this week!

One thing I knew I wanted was a classic black and white striped shirt. Not only did I want a top like this to wear during the rest of my pregnancy, but I've been wanting a well-made one in general. After all, it's probably one of the chicest wardrobe essentials to own. So, when I found this striped tunic at Anthopologie, I immediately fell in love. I can't tell you how soft it is. It comes in several different colors but I couldn't resist the black and white. When I was checking out, the guy at the register cooed over the tunic and told me how they had to rush order a second shipment because they were so popular. On our way out of the store, I noticed only a few black and white ones left. I guess he wasn't kidding.

As for the outfit itself, I wanted to keep everything simple and classic. To do this, I kept the colors neutral and added a pop of color in my jewelry. I've definitely invested in a lot of nude wedges and heels because they always compliment my outfits - no matter how crazy they get.

  2. This look seems so effortless and fun! I love it! For some reason I just can't stop mixing black and white stripes with camel colored items like you have here with your adorable shoes!
