Golden Globes Recap

Aside from resolutions, the new year means... Award Season!
First up: The Golden Globes.
And aside from the awkward Red Carpet coverage so gracefully presented to you by E! and Giuliana Rancic, the actual fashion on the red carpet was utterly jaw-dropping.

My Best Dressed pick for the night goes to the always flawless Jessica Alba
She literally stunned in this floor length coral Oscar De La Renta number. The diamond necklace, the red-orange lips and the gorgeous hair... she is superhuman.
And then there's the clutch - like... can I just be her?

Best Dressed No. 2 goes to Nicole Richie
I love her style and her willingness to try anything. I saw a lot of this pale blue on the carpet tonight and I have to say, I am quite the fan. Last year's mint is this year's pale blue. For sure.
Nicole's floor length gown is by Naaem Kahn and I love the way she styled it with her very own House of Harlow clutch. Her hair (similar to Jessica's) is so feminine and elegant. To top it off, she donned matching pale blue eye makeup - a big trend coming our way this year.

Best Dressed No. 3 goes to Kate Hudson.
Kate has always been one of my style icons. She brings every outfit to life with her carefree spirit and abundance of free-loving energy. She had me at How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. Her dress tonight is a gorgeous low-cut number by the great Alexander McQueen. Her makeup is flawless and did I mention she just had her second baby? She is a rockstar.

There were plenty of other noteworthy dresses (and two-pieces!) but these three immediately stood out to me. Not just stood out, but blew. me. away.

A few others I loved...

Naomi Watts in a deep red Zac Posen gown.
(A new color for her on the carpet. I love risk takers!)

Keri Washington in a blush toned Miu Miu dress.

Hayden Pannettiere in a light pink Roberto Cavalli gown.

And before I go I have to say what a great job Tina Fey and Amy Poehler did hosting the 2013 Golden Globes. They had me laughing all night. Bravo!

Who were some of your favorite best dressed this year?
See you back here for the next awards show!

  1. I couldn't agree with you more! Jessica Alba looked flawless!I didn't know what to think of the two piece outfits, but Anne Hathaway can pull off just about anything in my book!
