Ten Things I'm Loving Right Now

While my Fantasy Team falls by the wayside (C'mon Patriots!!), I decided to share some of my favorite things with you. This list is definitely random, but definitely awesome.

1. Arm Candy. More specifically, Bangles. And they look even better when they don't match. A few of my favorites: J.Crew, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Adding a big ace watch to the arm candy party is always a good idea, because well.. you're arm looks cool and all, but do you know what time it is? Exactly. And if we're talking watches.. it's always Michael Kors. Always. Tip: Never pay retail for a Michael Kors watch. Always check the nearest T.J. MaxxDillard's, or Nordstrom Rack Online. If you wait it out, Dillard's always marks their watches down 50%. Trust me on this.
2. Essie Nail Polish. To make the Arm Candy look even more delectable.. add polish! Now that winter is vastly approaching, I love to sport darker polishes. In fact, I just painted my nails a burgundy-sparkley-brown tonight, known in the Essie world as "Decadent Diva". Yes, yes.. dark nail polishes rock my socks off, but I also believe red nail polish will never go out of style. I have always had a hard time finding the right color of red in a polish, but it's definitely not as hard as finding the right shade of red lipstick. Ugh. Ok, i'll get to the point. My favorite red-sparkley-holiday ready nail polish is "Jag-u-are" from Essie. It's BEA-utiful. And it doesn't point out the fact that my hands are super duper pale.

3. Leopard Booties. Booty booty booty booty rockin' everywhere. Yes, I am in love with booties. Every girl should own a pair by now. They hit the scene pretty hard last fall, but people are just now starting to dig in. [Tsk. Tsk.] So if you haven't purchased a pair yet.. let me steer you in the right direction. Leopard print. Seriously. Leopard print goes with EVERYTHING. The print contains the colors black and brown. Whoaaaa. Yes. So you can wear it with either one. I like to wear leopard print with color,  hence the photo to the right.  My booties are Sam Edelman, a designer you will hear me name drop quite often. He is amazing. His line of shoes debuted in 2004 after he spent years talking to women, finding out what qualities they wanted in a shoe.. well-crafted, beautiful and fashionable. This man built his career around pleasing women. How gratuitous is that! (Minds out of the gutter people.)

4. Burberry Classic Perfume. This is the absolute perfect perfume for fall. I have to have it every time the weather turns cold. I miss it's musk in the summer time. Sometimes i'll take a few spritzes to the wrist before I go to bed. It's safe to say I'm head over heels for this perfume. I've worn it since I was 16. And will wear it forever. I guess it could be rendered my "signature scent", for the fall anyway. I'll get to my spring and summer perfumes at a later date. A girl can't be tied down by one perfume. Anyway, it is the original Burberry, Burberry Classic. I get mine at Sephora. I don't know why, I just do. Maybe it's the people that work there. I have literally spent hours in there talking to employees about bronzers, face washes, and why their boyfriend won't commit. Oh and they have a sweet points program = free stuff every once and while.

5. Native/Tribal Prints. I'm sure you have seen these all over by now. But I still can't get enough. Maybe it's because my Grandpa rocked these prints back in the day and I get a sense of nostalgia when I see them. I always feel compelled to buy anything with native print. I'm still on the lookout for a vintage tribal purse. Holler at me if you see one.  Anyway, my favorite place to get this print is Urban Outfitters. Partially because a lot of people here in Oklahoma won't have the same shirt I do... since we don't have an Urban here. (I'm talking to you Glen Senk - Urban CEO.) Actually, it's kind of ironic that I'm talking about my love for this print, specifically at Urban, because they are under several attacks for this 'Navajo Line'. After reading a few of the complaints and reviewing the cease-and-desist letter, I can see the fuel behind the fire. But I still love the shirt I bought, and I plan on wearing it all the time with some Minnetonka boots. Moving on..

6. Chanel Bronzer. Duh. Of course this made my top ten list. You can take the girl out of the tanning bed, but you can't take the need to be tan out of the girl. Who's with me? Bronzer is the most important thing in my makeup bag. In case you haven't heard, being pale is so not fetch. And if you think all bronzers are created equal, they aren't. Clinique bronzer contains too much gold shimmer, which is alright if you're going for the "Jenny from the Block" look. Long story short, I have finally met my match in the bronzer world, and it's the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Moisturizing Bronzer Powder.  OK.. it smells amazing. It stays on your face. And it looks super natural. It might be more on the expensive side, but trust me, it lasts forever. There are 4 different shades and the lovely ladies at the Chanel counter will help you find your perfect match.

7. Scarves. I know that one day my scarf and I are going to get married on top of a mountain, and there's going to be flutes playing and trombones and flowers and gardens of fresh herbs. And we will dance until the sun rises. Scarves are my favorite. I feel naked without a scarf. It sounds silly, but hey, I'm weird. My favorite scarf in the whole world is a leopard print gem I scooped up at Francesca's. BUT, I try not to show favoritism to any certain scarf. That said, I got a little too excited when I went into Gap last Friday and saw that their scarves had arrived. If you aren't aware, Gap's winter scarves are the softest, longest, prettiest scarves ever. They are the best. So, in the photo to the right (to the right), you will see my new purchase. If we're being honest here, I really want every scarf in the store. But when I narrowed it down, this was my pick. It has muted colors and will mesh with any ensemble. And P.S. Their men's scarves are pretty hot too!

8. Revlon Just Bitten Lip Stain + Balm. When I first saw this line at Target, I thought to myself, "Dear heavens, do we really need more shiz named after Twilight?" And then, for some reason, after that thought quickly escaped my head, I bought one. Cue the sunshine. These things are amazing. Let me reverse (reverse!) for a minute. I am the girl that has never ever ever worn lipstick. I was always a chapstick only girl. Well, not anymore. This line is incredible. There are 15 shades, and I own almost all of them. My favorite one is "Flame". They literally mesh with any skin tone. In case you haven't picked up on this, I am extremely sensitive about how pale i've become since giving up tanning, but this lipstain just works. I love it. Tip: Buy yours at Walgreens. The selection is always better.

9. Mustaches. Yes, you read that right. Mustaches. I love them! I love how guys are growing out their mustaches now, I think it's hilarious. Poor Derek Holland is still trying. You can do it buddy. Aside from real mustaches on people, mustaches on everything else is so amusing to me right now. Check this out, Urban Outfitters has mustache fever, and the only prescription is more mustache. They've got mustache necklaces, mustache bedding, mustache coffee mugs (my favorite), mustache bandaids and mustache shirts. Shop Good, a local store majorly responsible for the annual Mustache Bash in Oklahoma City, also has some cool apparel covered in mustaches. Mustaches.

10. Clutches. aka. Purses for people who don't want to carry all the crap they normally do in their huge tote bags. Or maybe this is just my reasoning behind carrying a clutch. Either way, it's awesome. I have to admit, my clutch collection is rather small at the moment, I think I have 5(?), but I plan on asking Santa for a few this Christmas. They're perfect for going out. One of these day's I'll do a post on everything I carry in my Speedy bag. It's ridiculous. I can do curls in the afternoon with that bag and consider it my workout for the day.  Back to clutches, they are awesome. Every girl should own one. You can find them in any price range. My favorites are Tory Burch, J.Crew, and Francesca's.

Whew. There it is. Ten of my favorite things right now. Enjoy.
